Gelato
Our 22 flavors of gelato and sorbetto are made using a low speed freezing technology which allows a minimum amount of air to enter the ice cream. Gelato is presented in small containers (pans) and served at a slightly warmer temperature than American ice cream. Gelato is produced differently than American ice cream and has less butter, fat and air. As a result, gelato is smoother, denser, creamier and delightfully flavorful. Sorbetto is the same product as gelato, but is made with water instead of milk. Sorbetto has a light and silky smooth taste reflecting the texture of fresh fruit. The key to offering the best frozen dessert is to make it on site in small batches using the best quality ingredients like only we can do.
Espresso
Remeber our Italian Espresso Bar. We make a wide variety of espresso based beverages like lattes, cappuccinos, and mokas. Our specialty is Affogato, which consists of gelato drowned in a shot of espresso. We also carry variety of hot teas. Great espresso starts with good quality coffee beans. Our coffee beans are not bitter or over roasted. We offer Fair Trade Organic coffee beans. Fair trade helps farmers in developing countries to support themselves financially by gaining access to International markets and receiving a fair price for their product. By receiving fair price, coffee producers can avoid cost-cutting practices that sacrifice the quality of the product. With Fair Trade, coffee farmers are able to maintain the traditional artisan farming methods that result in exceptional products.
What is the big deal about organic coffee? Coffee is the world’s largest trading commodity as well as one of the most chemically treated food crops in the world. It is being sprayed without regulations with DDT, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides which have been determined to be hazardous to good health and the environment. By contrast, organic farming uses natural resources and stays away from chemical alternatives. Drinking the organic coffee promotes the health of the environment, coffee farmers and the health of the coffee drinker.
Panini
Panino means sandwich in Italian (pl. panini). Our paninis are grilled to perfection artisan Baby Ciabatta bread. All of our bread comes from a local bakery and has no preservatives. Traditional Italian ingredients like pesto, sun dried tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, provolone make our sandwiches like none other. We also offer vegetarian options.
